UN IDP 2019 Celebrations

*URI Zero limit CC,in association with URI South India region has organised a peace Rally at Karickam, on *September 21* as the whole world observe this day as *UN world Peace day* . Everybody gathered at Karickam International Public School in Kottarakkara between 7:00  and 8:45 am. There were five educational institutions which are connected to  URI Zero limit CC ,South India region, participated in the peace Rally. Each institutions were  upholding different themes representing UN peace day. The rally went on and covered about 8 to 10 Km.

         Some of them were highlighted on religious equality, Indians culture in keeping the promise of unity in diversity. A group of  students from Kollam presented the role of protecting  environment in keeping peace. They represented five subtle elements (ie;  earth, water, fire, air, and space )  which are considered as the core elements of nature which is called as " Panchabhoothas" in vedas. They were also grabbed the attention of the crowd by carrying plants on hands which are connected to an Oxygen mask directly, which have shown the pathetic situation that every human beings are about to face in the nearby future , ie, lack of Oxygen. The rate of deforestation is so high that we are in taking polluted air and we knew that the trees are the only  filter machines we have in nature. We are also aware about the rate of Oxygen in this era, so how much expensive it will be in the future ...... It is unimaginable for me right now. The thought itself takes my breath away. From where will my fellow sisters and brothers will breath pure air in the future. It gives me more pain than oxygen which I breath now. 

             They also gave us more insight on recycling and reusing things , because their placards were also made with waste materials like plastic bottles and useless newspapers and sticks.

         I am glad to be a part of this team who pointed on the environment protection, which points to this year's theme "Climate action for peace" literally.The whole rally was covered and witnessed by URI global members.

I would like to borrow the words from the famous album 'Heal the world'  by Michael Jackson, "Heal the world make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race.There are people dying if you care enough for the living, make a better place for you and for me."

          Yes we can make this world a better place to live in for you and for me,together. Let's plant ,breath ,and live on our mother Earth,together.....
