This activity really made our heart full of happiness with the message water for all written on the basins  . Basins are hanged on the roof sheets . WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
The  lissians celebrated evironment day with our full power on June 5th 2019.
The nature is becoming worse day by day with human activities. We  planted a variety of plants in our campus. Planting always make us happy. Before we were planting, the earth showered rain which made the nature  happy. Environment play a major role in every ones life. Every disaster happens because of the human activities. This year kerala the God's own country faced burning summer. This is all because of the human activity.
Planting and cleaning is not only meant for  environment day but for every day in our life. What we have seen in our surroundings is that every one bring plants to plant and clean our surroundings only in this day and never mind or take care of the sibilings after that.  This is human nature here. We are so happy on this day because everyone happily loving mother nature. I felt this is similar to the  new  style of taking  picture and helping mother's only on mother's day.  The main thing everyone should realise is that, this day is celebrated to make us aware about the healthy environment in our day to day life. So it is time to act wisely and love the nature every day. "Every action has equal and opposite reaction "-  Newton. Keep this quote in mind and act decisively.

WORLD OCEAN DAY
People need air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, new medicines, a climate we can live in, beauty, inspiration and recreation. ... Livingoceans absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce climate change impacts. The diversity and productivity of the world's oceansis a vital interest for humankind.Oceansgenerate half of the oxygen we breathe and, at any given moment, they contain more than 97% of the world's water. Oceans provide at least a sixth of the animal protein people eat. Living oceans absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reduce climate change impacts.
To spread this awareness the lissian did a self talk which was presented as a  video. Ocean may so wide and strong but it is also being distorted by human activities especially from the use of plastics.

Through reducing the use of plastics we can save our earth as whole. "Only we humans make waste that nature can't digest." "I hope for your help to explore and protect the wild ocean in ways that will restore the health and, in so doing, secure hope for humankind. Health to theocean means health for us." "No water, no life".
READING DAY
June 19, 2019  Wednesday at lissian's campus
Reading is important because it develops the mind. The mind is a muscle. It needs exercise. Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability. Teaching young children to read helps them develop their language skills. It also helps them learn to listen. Everybody wants to talk, but few can really listen. Lack of listening skills can result in major misunderstandings which can lead to job loss, marriage breakup, and other disasters - small and great.
As we all know the new generation is having less reading compared to the old generation, especially the newspaper , in  accordance with this information we conducted a debate about the importance of newspaper. One team supported the importance of newspaper and the  other  was against reading newspaper.Next we all decided to take a decision that we all will read one special book within 7 days and write the review about it. As always our beloved chairman Dr.Mohan Lal said:" write what we read", this made us decide to write those review after 7 days and he gave a lot of great message about the importance of reading in our life. This made all of us realize about our reading is not so reachable as it was before.
Reading is always beneficial for every individual . Through reading we build all our skills; like gaining knowledge, conservation skill, writing skills, etc. In my opinion everyone should read books as much as possible. A lot of special knowledge was gained through our program. Everyone realized through this program is that,  all should not only read but we should reflect those reading through writing what we have read.
" Reading is an exercise in empathy, an exercise in walking in someone else's shoe for a while "

The United Nations’ (UN) International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking falls on June 26 each year to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society. This day is supported by individuals, communities and various organizations all over the world. The UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has, over the years, been actively involved in launching campaigns to mobilize support for drug control. The UNODC often teams up with other organizations and encourages people in society to actively take part in these campaigns.
To spread the awareness we lissians celebrated this day in assosiation with URI ZERO LIMIT CC and PRDC.

"Drug abuse and illicit trafficking continue to have a profoundly negative impact on development and stability across the world." Now a days the youth is dependent on the electronic gadgets. This made  lissians to spread the awareness by enacting a skit which has a power to spread like a dust particle in the social media. This was clearly possible because of the  care and support by our program director Miss.Alphy Thomas and whole faculty team . They help us explore our ideas without any hessitations. The program was coordinated by lissian Miss.Lekshmi who is really talented in choreographing and performing dance. The skit was introduced by lissian Rahul Suresh. As we all know the drug use is getting worse day by day which is an extrem crime before the law, it is necessary to spread the awareness of stop using this harmful stuffs.

Many people who are addicted to drugs are also diagnosed with other mental disorders, including anxiety and depression. These drugs gives pleasure for a while and allow them to erase their pain. But the real fact behind this is that they are erasing the whole memory not only their pain. They are switching on to an animal mind which is really horrible than an animal. They forget their relations, they forget their happiness, they forget their achievements and so on. This can only be stopped if we will to stop it. It is hard;"yes" but its impossible ;"No". Stand together to build a happy life without any extra hormones.

  ONAM CELEBRATION 2k19

On 6 th September 2019, we members of *URI Zero Limit cc*, celebrated the annual harvest festival of Kerala, the onam.Onam is an annual Harvest festival in the state of Kerala in India. It falls on the Thiruvonam in the Malayalam calendar month of Chingam. The festival is celebrated to commemorate King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit Kerala at the time of Onam.

Onam is not just a Hindu festival but rather a Malayali cultural festival having roots in Hindu theology, as it’s celebrated by all malayalis (Keralites) regardless of religion.Though a Hindu festival, non-Hindu communities of Kerala participate in Onam celebrations considering it as a cultural festival. So we *URI Zero Limit cc* celebrated *onam 2k19*.

We conducted Athachamayam ( flower arrangement ), Onappattu( songs especially for the eve of onam), Thiruvathira( a cultural dance form of Kerala), and some plays which are usually played on the occasion of onam celebration like kaserakali, sundarik pottuthodal, malayali manka competition, and kalam pottikkal etc. And we all are blessed with the presence of a  Mahabali( a person dressed like him).At last Dr.Mohan Lal, General convener of URI south India- srilanka region and Dr.Devi Raj, URI Zero Limit cc  distributed the prizes to the *URI zero limit cc* members who had won for the competitions.

It was a great experience for each one of us.we celebrated onam with out the barriers of any religious views. We learned the lesson that we are one. Which enabled us to think that there is no discrimination among the cultural festivals and activities
