Anti Terrorism Day at LISS Kollam 2019
21 may 2019, liss campus. Anti Terrorism Day is observed across India on 21 May. The date so chosen is to commemorate the death anniversary of one of the most eminent Prime Ministers of India, Shri Rajiv Gandhi (20 August 1944 – 21 May 1991). This day is also observed to make people aware of the ongoing terrorist activities and the precautions to be taken by the commoners to prevent these acts of terrorism. To spread this awareness we lissians in association with URI ZERO LIMITS CC celebrated the anti terrorism day with immense pleasure.
Every program is clearly directed by our program director Miss.Alphy Thomas and Miss. Riya Wilfred. Our program was coordinated by the best transformed lissian Miss. Harilekshmi and she coordinated very well with all the support of our team. The master of ceremony was mastered by our staring lissians Navami, Krishna veni and Rahul. We begin our program using a pledge to promote peace throughout our life. The patriotic song sang by our lissians promote peace deep inside our heart. The welcome speech was introduced by lissian Anandhu who heartily welcomed our chairman Dr. Mohan Lal, principal Dr.Devi Raj, vice chairman Mr. Rahul Gopan, administrator Mr.Shyno A.P, teaching and non teaching staffs to our program. The presidential address was introduced by our beloved chairman Dr. Mohan Lal with a soothing message that let our eyes open towards such people. Next comes the core of our program that is inauguration speech done by our chief guest ie, retired sub inspector Mr.Shyno A.P and as a token of our love Dr. Mohan Lal adorn a shawl to Shyno A.P sir. We all were happy to see this proud moment. The key note address was done by our beloved principal and our strength Dr. Devi Raj who shared her experience that how a terrorist behavior be like. The psychological concept behind terrorism made us think that we as future social scientist can change the mentality of such people. Next we had warming speech by our lissian Akhila Hari who conveyed her information to our thoughts. Up to next we had a wonderful program that made all of us think, more than a speech it is effective to perform in the way that every one could receive the message ie, through a mime. The mime was coordinated by lissian Lekshmi and team whose choreography touched all our hearts without any fail. Our felicitation speech was done greatly by our lissian Ashwini Akhilan. Vote of thanks was lovingly introduced by our vice chairman Rahul Gopan sir. The program wind up with national anthem.
Throughout this program I learned many things. I as a Muslim used ask myself why most of terrorists are acting as Muslim while our beloved prophet teaches in Islam by saying: "whoever has killed a person having treaty with Muslims shall not even smell the fragrance of paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of forty years ". Today, I realized the answer to my questions that terrorism have no religion. No religion promote terrorism and every religion promote peace . They thing they are terror, but killing innocent lives is not terror but its their utter foolishness. They may be taught to do that and we should be the one who is taught to promote peace. No one can stop us to promote peace until we lead our path without any fear. I as a Muslim and as a human will never promote any such activities. This is what LISS and URI ZERO LIMIT CC taught us to be.
